Outside the Operating Room

Dear friends, family, and fans:

I regret to inform you that we've lost the project.

Earlier this week, Steve arrived at the Glove's house with a squad car. He had a court order demanding that the Glove hand over all Surgery in the Dark related materials. With no choice but to comply, the Glove handed over his hard drive, the tapes containing the raw footage, and the notebook within which magic was born. A sad day, indeed.

But, dear friends, this is not a time for only sadness. It is a time for remembrance. It is a time to join together and focus on the good times we had. Those of you out there who attended the premiere are now members of a select few. You are the only people who will ever see Surgery in the Dark in any form. Cherish these memories.

My heart goes out to the Glove. He put his very essence into the project, only to have all his hopes, dreams, and aspirations dashed away. He looked up to Steve, trusted his guidance, and trusted that he would allow the Glove's vision to transfer to the silver screen exactly as he had envisioned it. In this time of sadness, I just hope that the Glove—and the rest of us as well— can focus on the positive.

It's better to have gloved and lost, than never to have gloved at all.
